Hi, I’m Natasha Zena—a storyteller at heart who’s spent more than two decades crafting narratives that connect, inspire, and spark positive change. I believe communicating someone else’s story is a tremendous privilege and a responsibility I take seriously.
I’m probably best known as the founding partner of Lioness, the first online news platform for female entrepreneurs, which was acquired by Innovation Women in 2020. Lioness was my way of amplifying the voices of women breaking barriers and scaling startups, and it remains one of the projects I’m most proud of. Under my editorial leadership, Lioness Magazine was recognized as the Most Innovative Local Business in the Springfield Republican’s Reader Raves awards, and I’m honored to have been named one of the Top 10 Women in Business in the Pioneer Valley by the Women’s Business Owners Alliance.
Along the way, I’ve been recognized as an emerging leader in digital media by The Poynter Institute and the National Association of Black Journalists, voted Top Woman in Public Relations by Western Mass Women Magazine, and included in BusinessWest’s annual 40 Under Forty list. I’ve mentored countless entrepreneurs at accelerators, Startup Weekends, and conferences because I’m a firm believer that every strong startup ecosystem has a 'pay it forward' undercurrent.
I take pride in creating spaces where people feel valued and supported, and I’m dedicated to building connections that allow teams to thrive. For me, there’s nothing more fulfilling than fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging collaboration, and helping people feel good about the work they do. When morale is high, the possibilities for success are endless.
So, please stay a while. Click around to see what I have been up to, and if communications, storytelling, and entrepreneurship are your thing too, hit that Connect tab on the navigation bar and let's chat.
Rock your day!
